Recorder of Deeds Operations Plan: Corona Virus Update

March 19, 2020—The Recorder of Deeds Office is committed to continuity of service, while taking every measure to limit exposure of the staff and the public.

• We are asking that the public call our office and check the website before coming in. Many needs can be met by phone or online to avoid contact.
• The Recorder of Deeds is offering Electronic Recording of documents, at no additional cost for the duration of this emergency. Call our office to get information about setting up your E-Record account.
• Effective immediately, our research room is closed to the public. If you have a need for a document that is not available online, you may contact us to search for you. If you have a critical need to conduct research, we will do our best to make arrangements for you.
• Marriage License Applications will be accepted by appointment only.
• If you have been issued a license that will expire because of wedding postponement, call us to make arrangements to put the license back on file.
